Fishing
With there being around 1,200 lakes in the Eagle River area, there is obviously some great fishing. The lakes differ in size, shape, and depth so they give habitat to many species of fish. The most iconic fish of the area is the muskellunge. It is the biggest and fiercest game fish in the Eagle River waters. Other popular species include walleye, perch, crappie, northern pike, smallmouth bass, and largemouth bass. The Nicolet National Forest is home to around 1,100 miles of trout streams. Eagle River plays host to some of the largest fishing tournaments in the Midwest. This attraction gets four stars because it is definitely not for everyone. I like to fish occasionally but the water sports are much more fun. If you love to fish then you will love this attraction. Some people especially those with you children would definitely enjoy the water sports more.
