Eagle Waters Resort
Eagle Waters is my favorite restaurant in Eagle River. They have a huge menu with everything from Wisconsin Cheese soup to filet mignon. I would say the best part of Eagle Waters as we call it is the atmosphere. If you go for dinner there is always a nice fire going right in the middle of the restaurant. Also, be sure to call and make reservations if you plan to go on a Friday or Saturday night because they host a lot of weddings. I would have to say that their signature entrée is the Friday night fish fry. This is my favorite and the one I would order if you go on a Friday night. The fish fry is all you can eat and you get your choice of fried or broiled or a combination platter. I have to say that I like the fried better just because it does not taste fishy at all. I always order the combination platter to start then I usually just get more of the fried. It does not really matter because it is all you can eat. The dinner comes with a choice of potato and creamy coleslaw and for the potato I highly recommend the potato pancakes. They are only available on Fridays. The dinner cost $11.99. Another very popular meal at Eagle Waters is the Sunday morning brunch. There is a fire going as always but they also have a live piano man. The brunch buffet consist of made to order omelets, belgium waffles, eggs benedict, biscuits & gravy, fruit, cold shrimp, smoked salmon, soup and salad bar, sausage, bacon, potatoes, french toast and a variety of dinner selections. They also have prime rib and broasted chicken on the buffet. The brunch is very good but a bit pricey at $14.99 for adults and $11.99 for children. If I only had time for one meal there I would do the fish fry but brunch is still very good. The restaurant gets a perfect score in terms of cleanliness and food quality. The only complaint that I have is that sometimes it takes a while to get your food. In addition to dining Eagle Waters Resort offers a host of other activities. They are right on the water so you can just dock the boat and go on up. They have a swimming pool and a band playing on Saturday’s. There is also tennis courts, basketball courts, and shuffle board. This is where I would recommend staying as well. They have condos that can be rented by the week. It is very nice for guest because they are right on the water and they have boat slips available for their guest. The number to call and make a reservation is (800) 8 WATERS.
