Chanticleer Inn
Chanticleer Inn is very nice resort on Voyager Lake in Eagle River. It is a very nice place to visit with a friendly atmosphere and plenty to do. Every day in the summer they have a cookout on the deck from 12 to 3 where they make hot dogs, hamburgers, and brats. I would definitely recommend getting a brat if you are stopping by for the cook out. This is a part of Wisconsin tradition as part of its German heritage. They are right on the water so you can just dock your boat and go on up. It is just nice to go skiing and be out on the water and then when you get tired you can stop there get something to eat and just relax in the sun. They also have a formal dining room. The food is very good and this is a more upscale restaurant. They have popular entrées like steak and lobster and that’s pretty much what they are known for. This is a white table cloth kind of restaurant and not really one for the kids. It is very fancy with a large selection of white. They also have famous Bloody Mary’s. If you are at the restaurant and over 21 I have heard it is something to try. Chanticleer Inn also has villas available for rent. The villas are nice but I do not feel that they have the quaintness of Eagle Waters Resort. They are a bit more modernized and more commercial so they just do not have that “up north” feel to them.
